THE BEST CYCLING IN CALVIÀ: ON THE NEXT 25TH OF JANUARY - CALVIÀ TROPHY
Palmanova and Magaluf will host the start and finish line of the TROFEO CALVIÀ on 25th January, the first stage of the international professional cycling race, Challenge Ciclista Mallorca 2023 (from 25th to 29th January). This is a unique opportunity to enjoy up close some of the best cyclists in the world, and the main teams on the World Tour scene, including the MOVISTAR TEAM.
Start and finish at Av. Cas Saboners (Palmanova-Magaluf)
The start and finish line of the race will take place at Avda Cas Saboners, in front of the IFOC headquarters (Palmanova-Magaluf)
- 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Cyclists arrival
- 11:55 a.m. Ribbon cutting
- 12:05 pm Neutralized start of the race

COURSE OF THE RACE
The 150.1 km stage begins in Palmanova and covers part of the Serra de Tramuntana. From Palmanova to Calvià, Puigpunyent, Valldemossa, Sóller, Deià, Banyalbufar, Estellencs, Andratx, Es Capdellà, Calvià, and back to Palmanova-Magaluf. They will crown ports such as Coll den Claret (2nd category) on two occasions, Coll de Sóller (2nd category) or Coll des Tords (3rd category).
TRAFFIC BLOCKS AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS
The event will cause traffic and parking restrictions during the day on 25th January at Av. Cas Saboners (place where the start and finish infrastructure is located). Traffic will be reorganized in the area, so there may be other traffic cuts and occasional parking restrictions on adjacent streets.
During the stage, there will be SPECIAL traffic restrictions on the municipal roads that are part of the route, ONLY while cyclists pass through those sections.
There are different options to follow the race:
1.- AT THE DEPARTURE AND THE FINISH LINE AS PUBLIC: the departure is at 12:05 p.m. and the arrival is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
2.- AT SOME POINT OF THE ROUTE THROUGH CALVIÀ: the race's road book indicates that cyclists will approximate pass through some of the areas of the municipality at these times:
- Approximate passing through ES CAPDELLÀ: between 3:35 p.m. and 3:50 p.m.
- Approximate passing through CALVIÀ: between 3:40 p.m. and 3:55 p.m.
3.- BY TELEVISION: The national channel TELEDEPORTE and the international channel EUROSPORT broadcast the race.
