250 runners at the III Local Police Trail

INFORMATION NOTE FROM THE LOCAL POLICE OF CALVIÀ


250 CHARITY RUNNERS PARTICIPATE IN THE III TRAIL OF THE POLICE OF CALVIÀ IN BENEFIT OF ADAYO PBO


Despite the added difficulty of rain and mud, the mountain races have been carried out without serious incidents


As planned, the III Charity Trail of the Local Police of Calvià took place at 9.30 a.m., in support of the Asociación Ayuda y Orientación Parálisis Braquial Obstétrica (Obstetric Brachial Palsy Aid and Counseling Association) (Adayo PBO). The organisation has arranged two mountain races for adults: one of 10.2km, with 150 participants; and another of 15.3km, with 100 runners. Both races have been refereed and score in the Mountain Federation, relevant data since around 70% of the registered are federated. The starting point has been es Capdellà (c / Platges), and with tour through the estate of Galatzó, Ses Vinyes and Ses Planes, a different route than the previous year in compliance with the guidelines required by the Ministry of Environment of the Government of the Balearic Islands. At midday, the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, has handed out the trophies.


In addition, various free Adayo Kids children's races for kids up to 12 years old have also been organised. The total of enrolled in the modalities for minors is 69.

On the other hand, 18 entities have given support to this solidarity trail with Adayo PBO. This association will allocate the income to the training of gynecology personnel, midwives and physiotherapists in relation to Obstetric Brachial Paralysis. Also, funding for scientific research will be provided.
