New step in the zonal modification of the Excesses Decree. The minister of Tourism of the government of the Balearic Islands, Jaume Bauzá, and the sector's executive councillor of the Consell de Mallorca, José Marcial Rodríguez, have made a street visit to Magaluf. Invited by the mayor of Calvià, Juan Antonio Amengual, and accompanied by a good part of the municipal government team, they have toured Magaluf, interested in the proposals of residents and businesspeople of the complementary offer.

Amengual thanked Bauzá for his response and the attention paid by the Balearic Executive to the request to modify the areas of application of the Decree: «the regional minister has visited Magaluf to learn about the idiosyncrasies of the area. After speaking with the businesspeople and residents, he has been able to verify the problems of the place and take their opinions into account.

Bauzá pointed out that "this visit complements the meetings that we have already held", while ensuring that "the Excesses Decree modification, whether here in Calvià or in other municipalities, will help solving some of the problems in these areas".

For his part, José Marcial Rodríguez has valued the effort carried out this summer by the Town Hall and the Local Police in compliance with the Excesses Decree: "from the Consell we learn from the experience applied in Magaluf so that it can be extrapolated to other areas of the Island.
