CALVIÀ IS PRESENTED IN LISBON AS A GOLF DESTINATION FOR EUROPEAN TOURISTS
Calvià as a tourist destination has participated these days in the IGTM fair in Lisbon, where it has established contact with more than 70 specialised agencies

Calvià is gaining strength as an ideal destination for golf-loving tourists. This is the main conclusion that can be drawn from the Town Hall's participation this week in the IGTM fair, which brought together professionals from the golf segment and luxury-segment agencies in Lisbon.
Long-distance market agencies, belonging to tourism consortia such as Virtuoso or Signature, have shown great interest in Calvià, in a participation that the general director of Tourism of the Town Hall, Carmen Peñas, defines as "successful." "The promotion of Calvià in golf and Mice incentive segments," says Peñas, "will help reduce the destination's seasonality curve."
During the event in the Portuguese capital, contact was established with more than 70 specialised agencies, in meetings in which the golf sector in the Calvià municipality actively participated.
The Consell de Mallorca has had its own stand at a fair in which the main golf destinations in the Mediterranean, such as Andalusia, Algarve, the Canary Islands and Catalonia, have also participated.
