IFOC opens the coworking space to new companies to promote entrepreneurship and collaboration

New companies in the municipality have the possibility of growing and collaborating with each other

The IFOC (Institut de Formació i Ocupació de Calvià) begins the reconversion of the coworking space  to make it available to entrepreneurs, professionals, self-employed workers and small businesses. The plan involves boosting the space, giving entry to new companies and promoting relationships between them. These changes coincide with the incorporation of new companies to the coworking space thanks to the sixth edition of Connect'Up organised by Grup Serra and sponsored by La Caixa and which has the collaboration of Calvià Town Hall.

In statements to Canal 4 TV and Radio, the IFOC's manager, Fernando Palmer, has indicated that the coworking's reorganisation involves turning it “into a dynamic, and real support meeting point. "We want them to work and collaborate with each other instead of just taking up space." In this way, the IFOC takes another step in its objective of promoting entrepreneurship and collaboration between new companies that are born in the municipality.

Connect'Up 2023 has three categories in which 41 companies have taken part, 10 of them through the IFOC. The Start category seeks to stimulate entrepreneurs and nourish their projects and innovative ideas. The so-called Sprint category aims to accelerate startups for their growth and consolidation. The Youth category is maintained for young people and students under 26 years of age.
