Starting tomorrow Friday, all Calvià residents will be able to request Calvià Town Hall for rental aid, which has a total budget of 716.000 euros. The aid for the rehabilitation of buildings and the elimination of architectural barriers has also been published this morning, whose budget amounts to 162.820 euros. Applications can be submitted electronically or in person, with a deadline of one month. The granting of these subsidies is through the competitive competition system and the resolution of the aid must be published within a maximum period of six months on the calvia.com website.

Rent

Calvià Town Hall offers rental support of 40% of the maximum monthly income, with a limit of 3.960 euros per year per home. The amount of the aid will be calculated based on the amount of the rent receipt for the month of September. The aid is granted to the residents of Calvià for a maximum of twelve months, with a starting date of 1st September 2023 and ending on 31st August 2024.

To be a beneficiary, various factors are taken into account, such as the total income of the cohabitation unit, the number of children under 18 years of age, dependent people with disabilities and cases of women victims of gender violence. It should be noted that seasonal contracts are excluded, except for those that have been renewed and have a minimum duration of one year. These rental aids from Calvà Town Hall are incompatible with the rental aid for people with limited financial resources granted by the council or any other public administration, entity or body.

Regarding the aid line for the rehabilitation of buildings and homes, 25% of the amount of the works is subsidised, with a maximum of 9.000 euros per building in the case of common elements and 6.000 euros per building for adaptation and elimination of architectural barriers. The amount paid for taxes and fees related to the works can be added. The period to carry out the works must be a maximum of 12 months.

Applicants can be the sole owners, tenants and usufructuaries authorised by the property and neighboring communities. The purpose of the subsidy, apart from the adaptation or elimination of architectural barriers, is to invest in foundation and structural elements, covers, roofs, facades and medians, as well as common facilities to adapt them to current sanitation regulations, water supply, electricity and telecommunications.
