Calvià rewards its shops and businesses at the Gala Excelentes 2023
A dozen local businesses have been recognised in the Awards that aim to highlight the commercial fabric
The Gala, which will be held at the Sala Palmanova on 13th December, will also serve to recognise Luis Carrasco's career
This year, Calvià rewards its shops and businesses at the Gala Excelentes 2023, which will take place at the Sala Palmanova on Wednesday 13th December at 8 p.m. A dozen local businesses have been nominated in the Awards that hold their first edition with the help of Ibeconomía and that want to highlight the commercial fabric of the municipality. In this sense, four categories have been created that recognise family, tourism, innovative and local businesses.
To choose the winners, a Committee of Experts has been created that will review the proposed nominations and select the winners in each category, providing diverse academic, internal and government perspectives. The prizes will consist of a sculpture created by local artist Carlos Terroba, a member of the 'Ou Verd' artistic platform, with the shape of a heart that has become a symbol and is located on the Palmanova seafront.
The Gala will also serve to recognise the career of Luis Carrasco, a businessman linked to the world of tourism and sports for decades, and who will be one of the stars of the evening in a ceremony that will include the screening of the twelve videos prepared for the dozen nominated companies.
